iPad Game: Galcon Fusion

Galcon Fusion is a planetary conquering game best suited to multiplayer. It's considered an "RTS," or real time strategy game because you produce ships (little triangles) on your planets and wage war at the same time as your opponent(s).

The objective is to take over all enemy planets. You have to balance your distribution in order to defend as well as colonize. The more planets owned, the more ships produced. Larger planets produce faster. Also, the number on a planet defines how much resistance it has to attackers. Sending one ship to attack destroys one ship on the target planet.

Multiplayer is really fun because there's that challenge of multitasking and trying to survive in the middle of pure chaos. Eventually, huge empires form and they send swarms across the screen. It's exciting to watch and play.

Galcon Fusion is two dollars on the App Store, which is a little more than the everyday one dollar app, but I say it's worth it.

Warning: this game can be highly addictive, each round lasting from 10 to 30 minutes. It's so addictive that I might have stayed up until midnight playing (I'm an early bird, not a night owl). As a result, I forced myself to delete the game because I didn't want it to become a problem. Nonetheless, this is an awesome game to play (if you have the self control).

Ahh... Sometimes an accidental finger smudge on the lens is just as good as a photo editor for that shiny look.

Poem: "Procrastination Pestilence"

A stone wall blocks and pushes,
Redirects traffic
It won't allow entry
No one can penetrate it

Time eats it away
And it eats time

Distractions seem more important
The screen is blank

Avoiding makes it more imminent
Like a shark
Yet no activation
Not like a bark

Smash the wall!
Down with it!
We want to get it over with
We pick excuse, but we need the cool, refreshing
Wave of
Relief

Minecraft Pamplemousse 16x16 Texture Pack

Want a modern texture pack, but can't stand lag from high resolution or are hesitant about downloading mods such as Optifine? Well, someone showed me this really nice texture pack that I'd like to share: Pamplemousse!

Mainly, this pack is for modern houses and towers. However, it's still great for medieval builds, so you get a two-for-one.

I especially like the sand, glass, and water of this texture. The creator made daylight sensors look like solar panels, an eco bonus. I give Pamplemousse a rating of five out of five, considering how well it looks even though it's size is small. Thumbs up to Mr. Fruit Tree!
